21st Century Stuff

It is very satisfying to finally see something that looks like it really belongs into the 21st century. If you haven't kept up with what's going on at the ISS, here's a few details to think about:

  • There are currently three Russian Soyuz capsules and a Japanese unmanned supply spacecraft docked at the ISS.
  • The ISS can now permanently accomodate a crew of six, but when the shuttle comes by for a visit, there have now been up to thirteen people in the ISS at the same time.
  • The ISS has now two robotic arms.
  • Over the next year, the ISS will grow by five more modules.
  • The ISS is now so big, it can sometimes be seen in daylight!
