One hundred pictures of small single-room apartments in a Hong Kong public housing project. Each room is about 9 square meters or 100 square feet small and it is quite fascinating to see how different people have created a viable space to live in such a small room.

While some people have clearly lost their fight with entropy and are slowly sinking in an avalanche of plastic bags and newspapers, others are living in a state of Zen in very orderly and near-empty rooms.

It is fascinating to look at the faces of these people and to compare and contrast the ones who look happy or even proud with the ones who seem to have no more hope and no more dreams.
