Old Glass on Old Rocks
For the last two weeks we've been on a road trip to several of the national parks out in Arizona, Colorado and Utah. We brought four cameras and lots of film, among them my Kodak Medalist.
It was an interesting experience to shoot with such a heavy, fully manual camera out in these grand landscapes. I actually didn't shoot too many rolls, maybe only about five pictures a day with this camera, compared to the two hundred pictures a day we averaged with the Canon S2IS.
But now looking back, the few pictures I took with the Medalist with its gorgeous lens are all good. A few photos actually came out as big surprises. Here is one of them (click for a larger view):
